Angels4You received a slightly questionable email the other day. It was not very well written or punctuated which, as you know by now, does not sit well with Sue or me.  (Please note that I have had to punctuate  the excerpts from his email correctly)

In the email it asked if Angels4You would like to get involved with an adult industry ‘business network event’ which would be a ‘chance for business women to exchange ideas and contact’. The person (we will call him Gary) who had sent the email was asking for £30 to be a part of this event and surprisingly at the end of the email he stated that he was an independent candidate for the Mayor of London! I say surprisingly since the whole email wasn’t very professional and I personally would have thought a mayoral candidate would be able to put a well written email together. My curiosity was peaked so I emailed back;

‘Dear Gary, You are not entirely clear about what your ‘financial investment opportunity’ event actually entails. Please could you elaborate? ‘

Which I felt was a fair question. However I had obviously put him on edge as this was his response;

‘Too many questions a bit confusing… Just to get women network together to help each other… I do not wish to promise too much for £30. It would be a pleasant atmosphere…’

The best part was that he then went on to invite me to a personal ‘business lunch’;

‘Do you wish to meet with me for a business lunch or something? Discreet and private business is not done online…All in all, I want a meeting to discuss more with you (say half hour) at a bar, restaurant or hotel (no fee on either side). ‘

How dodgy does this guy sound?! Alarm bells big-time! A ‘pleasant atmosphere?!’ I can just picture a seedy hotel somewhere with this guy lording it over lots of naive London escorts and London escort agency owners I’m very sure it would be a pleasant experience – for him anyway! It sounds like a certain London mayoral candidate was trying to get freebies! I said as much too.

His response;’ the closest to getting cheated is getting something for free’ he then went on to boast about himself: ‘I am an IT consultant. I am a hardnosed politician. I intend to have my name on ballot paper for mayor of London election 2012. I would have some policies on relaxation of prostitution laws in London.’

Politics and escorts – Interesting hey? I didn’t bother replying again. The other London escort agencies are welcome to this ‘networking event’.

The icing on the cake in this particular story is that Sue recognises his name and thinks he may actually have started up a Manchester escort agency. If he still runs it then maybe this is his way of getting extra Manchester escorts for his Manchester escort agency. A London Mayor who owns a Manchester escort agency? Would he get your vote?
